Fed: Howard rules out support for gay marriages
Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD says he won't support gay marriages because they do nothingto support the survival of the species.
He says they're incompatible with the institution of marriage.
Mr HOWARD has told the Courier-Mail newspaper he'll have nothing to do with same sexmarriages -- aligning himself with the stand taken by Catholic church leaders in the Vaticanand US President GEORGE W BUSH.
Mr HOWARD says while he respects people's sexual preferences, those calling for gaymarriages to be recognised don't understand what marriage means.
